Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to enhance their quality of life.
- Document patient care plans, daily progress notes, and any changes in condition immediately for nursing staff review.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment in accordance with all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed for patients with special dietary requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a clinical or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting and transferring patients.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a strong work ethic.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
