Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
  • Provide basic nursing care and emotional support to patients and their families during their hospital stay.
  • Assist with patient mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, charts, and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
  • Communicate changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the patient environment is clean, safe, and orderly.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid State of Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred).
  • Previous experience in a hospital, acute care, or long-term care setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
