Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment to prevent infection and ensure comfort.
- Assist with feeding patients who require assistance and ensure proper hydration.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and responses to treatment in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License in the state of Texas.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
