Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider, following strict safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to update them on patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Document patient care activities and observations in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
