Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues and transfers using proper body mechanics to ensure safety.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Communicate changes in patient condition, behavior, or needs to the nursing staff promptly.
Qualifications
- Current Nevada State CNA Certification (CNAL) required.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient dignity.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
