Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient conditions, and care activities
- Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and ambulation using proper techniques
- Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary team to implement care plans
- Maintain clean, sanitized environments and inventory of medical supplies
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations
- Support emotional well-being through active listening and patient advocacy
Qualifications
- Current Virginia CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care or hospital experience preferred
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in electronic health record documentation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk 8+ hours
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Pass background check and health screening
