Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, while maintaining patient dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report abnormalities to the RN.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Assist with medical procedures and treatments under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient electronic health records (EHR).
- Foster a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for all patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA Certification issued by the state of Arizona.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help patients.
- High school diploma or GED required.
