Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility transfers and use of adaptive equipment
- Support nurses in implementing care plans and medical procedures
- Maintain clean, sanitized patient environments and equipment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active DC Certified Nursing Assistant certification required
- Minimum 6 months recent CNA experience in hospital or long-term care setting
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills and compassion for elderly patients
- Strong attention to detail in documentation and care delivery
- Flexibility to work day/evening/weekend shifts
- Pass background check and drug screening
