Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Support patients in transferring to and from beds, wheelchairs, and using walkers safely.
- Medication Assistance: Administer medication as directed by nurses, ensuring patients take their prescribed treatments on time.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Communication: Effectively communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and healthcare team.
- Hygiene & Environment: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, sanitized, and organized.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home healthcare setting preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR/BLS: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Skills: Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients safely.
- Interpersonal: Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for patient care.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
