Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical logs.
- Support the nursing team with medication administration and wound care as directed.
- Foster a positive and comfortable environment for patients and their families.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients up to 250 lbs when necessary.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
