Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers safely using proper techniques.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and assist patients with eating when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with facility policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests for assistance.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the State of California required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or home health setting preferred but not required for immediate hires.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well in a diverse team environment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
