Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any significant changes to the nursing staff promptly.
- Aid in mobility and transfers, ensuring resident safety and comfort using proper techniques and equipment.
- Serve meals and assist with feeding, ensuring residents receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Document care provided accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, promoting residents' overall well-being.
Qualifications
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Pennsylvania.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNA preferred, new graduates are encouraged to apply!
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist residents with mobility for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong patient-first approach.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to care for others.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
