Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, intake/output, and behavioral changes
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Perform environmental safety checks and maintain clean patient areas
Qualifications
- Active Nebraska CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months of recent CNA experience in a long-term care or hospital setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Pass criminal background check and pre-employment health screening
- Valid Nebraska driver's license (for potential transport duties)
