Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, according to facility protocols.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring to and from beds and wheelchairs.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavioral issues to the charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- CPR certification.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
