Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with daily living activities, hygiene, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist registered nurses and physicians with procedures and patient rounds.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Document patient observations and care activities accurately in electronic health records.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations during the night shift.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a nocturnal team.
