Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers to and from beds and wheelchairs, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, strictly adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient needs and changes in condition.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, documenting all interventions accurately.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, providing immediate assistance and escalating critical issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Arizona required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
