Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate direct patient care to residents and patients throughout the night shift.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by the nursing staff, ensuring proper documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and families regarding patient conditions and changes in status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in accordance with facility protocols and infection control standards.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting preferred but not mandatory for exceptional candidates.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients frequently throughout the shift.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced night shift environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
