Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as directed by licensed nursing staff.
- Document patient care activities and changes in patient condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Willingness to obtain CNA certification or complete state-mandated training programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift patients, and perform heavy lifting as needed.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate electronic documentation systems.
- Compassionate demeanor and a desire to start a career in healthcare.
