Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the Registered Nurse (RN) immediately.
- Assistance with Mobility: Help patients move safely from beds to wheelchairs or transfer them to and from medical equipment, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Communication: Maintain accurate documentation in patient charts and communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient status and changes in condition.
- Meal Assistance: Assist patients with feeding, ensuring they consume appropriate nutrition and hydration.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, engaging them in meaningful activities.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Experience: No prior CNA experience required. We are looking for candidates with a strong desire to learn and a compassionate nature.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping others and a patient-first attitude.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
