Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, accurately.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families during their stay.
- Report any changes in a patient’s condition, behavior, or symptoms to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients by following hygiene protocols.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, surgeries, or radiology as directed.
- Assist with light meal preparation and feeding for patients with special dietary needs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Current enrollment in a CNA training program is a plus, but candidates with no experience are encouraged to apply if they demonstrate strong character and a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic health record entry.
- Reliable transportation is required.
