Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance: Support nurses and medical staff with patient transfers, mobility assistance, and positioning.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Hygiene: Ensure patients are clean and comfortable, including changing linens and maintaining a sanitary environment.
- Documentation: Update patient records and logs as required by facility protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid, active CNA Certification in the State of Illinois.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly; ability to assist with heavier transfers is a plus.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Soft Skills: Strong empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- License: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred but not mandatory.
