Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming to ensure patient hygiene and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist nurses and physicians with medical procedures, patient transfers, and ambulation.
- Communicate patient needs and changes in condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current CNA certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire).
- Must be compassionate, patient, and have a strong desire to help others.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic charting.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (optional but preferred).
