Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and feeding schedules.
- Document patient care activities, updates, and changes in condition in accordance with facility policies.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests for assistance.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California CNA License (or ability to obtain).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and PHA certifications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Physical stamina to perform standing, walking, and lifting tasks for extended periods.
- Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- High school diploma or GED required.
