Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, accurately and promptly.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and using the restroom.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for.
- Administer medications and treatments under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and charts in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and common areas at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding any changes in a patient's condition.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing with the State of Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or CPR certification.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods as required by the role.
