Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including toileting, feeding, and repositioning.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in patient rooms and common areas.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and physicians regarding patient condition and needs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the state of Texas required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Valid State ID and ability to pass a background check.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong focus on patient safety and well-being.
