Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our elite team in Memphis, TN. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations.
- Assist patients with meals and ensure they remain well-hydrated.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the registered nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Escort patients to and from examinations, treatments, or surgeries as needed.
- Update patient care records and documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Tennessee.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient safety and dignity.
