Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility, while maintaining the highest standards of dignity and comfort.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the charge nurse immediately.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established nursing protocols.
  • Assist in the collection of specimens and documentation of patient data in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients to promote healing and prevent infection.
  • Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, following safety and emergency protocols.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Ohio CNA license (CNA I or CNA II).
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic Arrhythmia Recognition (ARRT) preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to empathize with patients.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
  • Proficiency in computer skills for electronic charting and documentation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
