Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility, while maintaining the highest standards of dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the charge nurse immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established nursing protocols.
- Assist in the collection of specimens and documentation of patient data in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients to promote healing and prevent infection.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, following safety and emergency protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Ohio CNA license (CNA I or CNA II).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic Arrhythmia Recognition (ARRT) preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to empathize with patients.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Proficiency in computer skills for electronic charting and documentation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
