As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential support to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while maintaining high standards of medical care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Support patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients move safely between bed, wheelchair, and walking, and ensure a safe environment free of hazards.
- Document Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records regarding patient status and care provided.
- Communicate with Team: Relay important patient information to nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Provide Emotional Support: Build rapport with patients and families, offering reassurance and companionship during their stay.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid CNA license in the State of Kansas.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
