Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Accurately measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring patient safety.
- Assist with Daily Living: Provide assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, and ambulation to ensure patient comfort and dignity.
- Medication Management: Support the nursing staff by preparing medications and ensuring patients receive their treatments on time.
- Patient Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team, reporting changes in condition promptly.
- Document Care: Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient care activities and clinical observations in electronic health records (EHR).
- Emergency Response: Assist in maintaining a safe environment and responding to patient emergencies as directed by nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid California State CNA license and current registration.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks as needed.
