Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates as directed by nursing staff.
- Assist with Procedures: Support the nursing team with wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection as required.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status, concerns, and changes in condition to RNs and LPNs immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and care logs.
- Environment Safety: Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, active Washington State CNA Certification (CNA I or CNA II).
- License: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
