Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately and report any deviations to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in strict accordance with infection control protocols.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure comfort and prevent injury.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Document patient care plans, updates, and observations accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests for assistance.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (or eligibility to obtain one through our training program).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to show empathy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
