Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with patient ADLs (bathing, dressing, mobility)
- Accurately measure and document vital signs and patient observations
- Assist nurses with medical procedures and equipment preparation
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Transport patients safely using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Communicate patient needs and concerns to nursing staff promptly
- Support patient education and discharge planning coordination
Qualifications
- Active Colorado CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds with proper techniques
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)
- Clear criminal background check and drug screen
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
