Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient observations
- Assist with patient meals and ensure proper hydration
- Transport patients safely to treatment areas and diagnostic procedures
- Maintain clean, sanitized patient environments and equipment
- Collaborate with RNs and healthcare team members on care plans
- Report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff
- Support emotional and social needs of patients and families
Qualifications
- Current NC CNA certification in good standing
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience preferred
- BLS certification required (CPR)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Electronic medical record proficiency
