Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, operating wheelchairs and stretchers safely.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, and progress in electronic health records accurately and timely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with hospital hygiene standards.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and emergencies, demonstrating exceptional bedside manner.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the state of California.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move patients as needed.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
