Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, and respiration rate, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring patient dignity and comfort.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, positioning them correctly and ensuring their safety.
- Document patient care activities, changes in patient condition, and completed tasks accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses, following strict protocols and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered State of Arizona Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with patient mobility.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine commitment to patient-centered care.
