Responsibilities
- Assist Patients: Provide essential daily living assistance, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates accurately.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients maintain high standards of cleanliness and personal comfort throughout the shift.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the nursing staff to report changes in patient condition.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient care logs.
- Meal Support: Assist patients with feeding and ensure dietary requirements are met.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient calls and assist in emergency situations as trained.
Qualifications
- License: Current New York State CNA license required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Experience: No prior experience required; we welcome entry-level candidates with a passion for care.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients up to 50 lbs; good physical stamina.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, empathy, and patience are essential.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
