Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature accurately.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patient rooms are clean, organized, and maintain a comfortable environment.
- Communication: Report changes in patient condition, mood, or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assistance: Support patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain patient records and care logs as required.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to call lights and emergency situations following protocols.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid and current North Carolina CNA license.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for patient care and empathy.
