Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates, reporting any abnormalities.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfer them safely between beds, wheelchairs, and chairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current and active Maryland State CNA license required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when assisting patients.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
