Responsibilities
- Provide basic bedside care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including toileting, feeding, and mobility.
- Communicate patient conditions and changes to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Document patient care plans and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Support patients and families with emotional and psychological needs during their care journey.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license issued by the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
