Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will play a vital role in ensuring our patients' comfort, safety, and well-being throughout their stay. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with ambulation and range-of-motion exercises as prescribed by therapists.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, surgery, or other departments as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the state of Virginia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
