Responsibilities:
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring they are comfortable and secure.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and progress accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods as required by the job.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
