Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and physician orders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and charts.
- Collaborate with nurses and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies within the facility.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is a plus.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
