Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to residents, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and care plans.
- Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and responses to treatment in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Respond promptly to call lights and emergencies, following established safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and active California State CNA License (required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA).
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory for high-potential candidates.
- Strong understanding of infection control and safety regulations (OSHA, CMS).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
