Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and dignified environment.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as necessary to ensure proper nutrition and hydration.
- Implement infection control measures and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary living environment.
- Document care plans and resident updates accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to call lights and emergency situations, following safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current Washington State CNA Certification required.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents and families.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents up to 50 lbs.
- Experience in long-term care or home health is highly preferred but not always required for the right candidate.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a night shift team structure.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
