Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality direct patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance
- Accurately document patient vital signs and observations in electronic health records
- Assist nurses with medical procedures and maintain sterile environments
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during challenging healthcare experiences
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain clean and organized patient rooms and treatment areas
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Illinois CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Compassionate approach to patient-centered care
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays
