Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and verify patient coverage
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and secure patient records
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Assist with immunization administration and health screenings
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Strong mathematical accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Basic knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
- Valid Texas driver's license (for deliveries if required)
