Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and verify patient coverage
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Prepare sterile compounding and IV admixtures when required
- Collaborate with pharmacy team to optimize workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficient in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
