Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering processes
- Process insurance claims and maintain precise patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and pharmacy board regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and tracking
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmacy terminology
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
