Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications following all protocols
- Process insurance claims and manage inventory with precision
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV preparations
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Rx30) for dispensing records
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for prescription verification
- Ensure compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state board regulations
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and data entry
- Excellent communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume setting
- Valid CPR certification preferred
- Background check and drug screening required
