Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and maintain precise patient records using pharmacy software
- Provide exceptional customer service, including medication counseling and OTC product recommendations
- Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations and HIPAA standards
- Operate automated dispensing systems and maintain clean, organized workstations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related inquiries
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Prior retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- High school diploma or equivalent; PTCB certification preferred
